According to James Kim here are the top 6 tips to optimize Social Media (Source).
These 6 tips are very good and these are my reasons why these should be 6 very important tips in a social media plan.
1. Build an Identity - This is extremely important and why it should be number onei on the list because ultimately this is what people will know you as. Having an Identity people enjoy is what will grow your popularity
2. Don't Just Talk, Listen - In the growth of social media this is vital. Social Media is a lateral platform. What that means is that you are no higher or lower than who you are reaching out to, you are on the same level as them. Therefore their opinion is just as important as yours (if not more important because they are your audience). Listen to what is popular around your campaign and build off of that, social media is ever changing just as society's culture.
3. Keep the Conversation Going - Social media is very interactive and therefore if you stop interacting your campaign will die out. While listening to your audience you must still respond to them and if you start a conversation continue it, make it popular, have it create buzz. Remember all social media is, is one giant conversation with the world.
4. Identify your Target - Know who you are really trying to connect to, this is important as well. A way to put this into perspective is think of how you would talk to your grandparents vs. how you would talk to your friends at a party. The way you would engage each of those people is very different and therefore if your target audience is college kids, speak to them as college kids not elementary school children. Also, stay up to date with what your target audience is in to because they are who you need to engage the most.
5. Go Big or Go Home - This is an interesting point, and a good one at that. You can't just expect people to like your page or follow your twitter. You need to show that you are the most important, and that you are also engaged in the conversation. Become involved and do it all the way!
6. Write Good Stuff: Content Matters - Writing valid and interesting material is very important because that is ultimately what you are judged on. Your identity is created from the content you are writing and what your thoughts are. No one wants to sound silly and stupid, so therefore being educated and writing clear coherent thoughts is what matters in the end.

Black Friday Shopping Tips For Men!
Here are some Black Friday Tips for men who are willing to face the crowds!
1. Study Up! - make sure you know which deals you are going for, and have your ads with you so there is no arguing about which deal you deserve! (If you don't have the original newspaper many ads are online and can be printed that way!)
2. Prioritize and Make A List! - Use some fancy technology or just bring in a plain old piece of paper but know exactly which items you are going for. Just want that TV or Ipad? well put it at the top of the list and STAY FOCUSED!
3. Sleep is for Squares! - No need to sleep the night before because you won't want to wake up with all the turkey in your belly! a few hours before you're ready to go out drink a nice cup of coffee, and some trail mix, granola bars or some hardy Beef Jerky to snack on as you wait outside to get the 3D TV!
4. Dress Comfortably! - No one wants to be standing around for a few hours and be uncomfortable, so put on a comfortable pair of sneakers and jeans with a sweatshirt for the cold and you're all set!
5. Charge up your devices! - You don't want to get bored standing in line, it just makes one anxious. So prepare by charging up your iphone and play some angry birds as you wait to get those early bird specials!
6. Buddy System - it works when your 5 and it works when your 55. This system is crucial for those deals, you always need a wingman to protect your way to the game of the year! Fight off the soccer moms and avid shoppers for your right to a great deal!
7. No need to fight about it! - Safety first! If there is no way you are going to get the game but can get the next best thing, just let it go. Fighting won't solve anything and getting arrested will hinder your next big deals, so if you weren't able to get the TV, but can still get the game you wanted it will still be worth while.
8. Get to your desired store early! - don't want miss out on the deals because you were chatting with the in-laws? well here's your excuse to get out of clearing the table because you need to get the goods!
9. Pay with the Plastic! - The stores will be packed and no one wants to lose cash! So either bring your credit card or to really stay in budget go to your planned stores ahead of time and get gift cards to use! The gift cards will be great for not going over budget and staying on task for what stores to go to!
10. Last but not least Have Fun! - In the end you may end up with the TV you wanted or the game of the year but what you'll remember for a lifetime is the experience you had. Enjoy the chaos and keep a good attitude because everyone likes a gentleman, and who knows that might be the key to getting an extra deal!
Enjoy Black Friday but be safe!
